Jayme Sneider has been working as a science and STEM teacher at the middle school level with SVVSD since 2008. During this time, she summited Mount Kilimanjaro and through Discovery Education and the GLOBE program, she was able to collect data and involve SVVSD students virtually. As bioscience pathway coordinator at the Innovation Center, Jayme teaches classes including introduction to biotechnology, biomedical engineering, bioscience explorers, experimental science, and data science. Jayme runs several project teams, in which students work with industry partners relating to neuroscience and virtual reality, as well as a conservation data science team. She also represented the state of Colorado in 2018 as a National Geographic Geoinquiry ambassador. Prior to that, Jayme worked at Mount Rainier National Park as a Geological Education Specialist and then at UNAVCO with the Plate Boundary Observatory education and outreach team. She has traveled to all seven continents collecting data!
